Horse riding is more than just getting on and going to work it’s about the trust, the bond, going out there every day and seeing them. When I do liberty with my horse Zeus, I do use a whip, but not for the purpose you are thinking of. I use a whip as a guide for him, as if it were an extension of my arm. Liberty is not just you making your horse do what you want him/her to do it’s a bond of trust where you and your horse have such a strong connection that he doesn’t want to leave your side. I like to think of it as if you and your horse are two magnets that just click together. I think this is a great way to bond and build trust with your horse. It’s all about the trust. Love Ella
